CELEBRATING MANTIS SHRIMP COLOUR VISION
Mantis shrimp eyes have a similar structure to DVD players, meaning they can see colours that humans can’t even imagine!
So in response to the prompt, Best Kept Secret, I designed a DVD case, movie poster and ‘5D glasses’ for The Secret of The Peacock Mantis Shrimp, an imaginary psychedelic film that would unlock those colours for humans to experience as well.
I used a combination of screenprinting and risograph techniques in order to create vibrant neon gradients.
